Some things don’t need explaining in St. Louis. Gooey butter cake is one of them.
The golden edges. The soft, buttery middle. The powdered sugar that ends up on whatever you’re wearing. South Saint Louis captures a hometown favorite we sometimes forget everybody else didn’t grow up eating.
From our So St. Louis Collection. If you know, you’re probably from here.
